White Buffalo Turquoise Pendant on woven chain

The pendant is an elegant and striking piece of jewelry that can be worn everyday or elevate a classic 'jeans and a button down shirt' look. Kim's jewelry tends to be non-gender specific and this piece can be worn by anyone. As is true with most of Kim's work, YOU wear the jewelry, it does not wear you.

Custom cut in Kim's studio, the pendant measures 1.25" x 1.75" (35mm x 43mm) and hangs from a 19" (85mm) 4-loop fine silver "Viking knit" woven chain. Kim discovered the Viking Knit chain in 2024 and has made several pendant supported by this chain. 

The white buffalo turquoise is from the Otterson family’s Dry Creek Turquoise Mine in Tonopah, Nevada and was cut by my assistant, Ethan Schultz. Buffalo Turquoise is named after the fact it is only found where turquoise is mined. It is not actually turquoise but is classified as magnesite and alumite. It is as rare at a white buffalo which is considered a sacred animal.
